St. Thomas to St. John

Ok friends I want to know any and every thing you all know about porting into st. Thomas at 10 and getting to St. John and back by 6. Can I be some? What ferry do you recommend? Is fare something that can be prepaid? I want to know it all. Thanks!

The easiest way to do it on your own is to take a cab to Red Hook and take the hourly ferry to Cruz Bay... You should be able to make the 11:00 ferry if your off the ship quickly. When you arrive at Cruz Bay a taxi will take you to whichever beach you desire, or you can explore the small town right there. Getting back is just the same in reverse. The 4:00 ferry from Cruz Bay should get you back in plenty of time... I don't believe there is a way to pre pay, just show up at the ferry terminal.
