Question on renting a car in Marseille

We are going to be on the Grand Princess in the Fall doing the Mediterranean cruise. We would like to rent a car in Marseille. What is the easiest way to rent a car here. Is there a car rental company near the port, or is there a shuttle service offered by any of the rental companies? We are hoping that we don't have to pick a car up at the airport. I would appreciate any suggestions or experiences with this. We are aware that it is possible to take a train to various cities, but prefer to drive, and take in villages, wineries, etc.
