Can anyone recommend a ship tracker site or app?

I have looked at every one I can find. They all show Sunshine still in Freeport even though she is supposed to be headed back to Charleston today. It looks like the info just hasn't been updated? I sure hope that is the case, anyway. I see people post on here all the time about ship locations so I wonder what site you are using?

That's the problem with Shipmate, it shows the "expected" position if the ship is out of range.

Marinetraffic is probably the easiest to use, and has about the best coverage of stations. Sunshine dropped off AIS tracking about 1.5 hours ago, and won't be in range again until early morning.

I use Ship Mate.

There is an IOS app called ship finder, it costs money but I like it a lot. I think it is around $4

I'm a fan of Marinetraffic. I started using it when oldest son was sailing the globe during his Sea Year at chengkp75's alma mater and still use it to track cruise ships. Today, if oldest son's ship ever shows up on Marinetraffic it's simply labeled "US Government Vessel." And I won't know that it's his ship.:)
