Need a backup plan to Magazine Beach

We are a family of four with two boys ages 6 and 11. We are planning on getting a cab to Magazine Beach / Aquarium Restaurant for our day in port. From what I've read this beach looks great, isn't crowded and we won't be hassled by a lot of vendors.

 

I like to have a backup plan when we do stuff on our own just in case we encounter difficulties with weather / cab drivers / etc.

 

We're doing a more comprehensive tour in Dominica the day before, so looking for something low-key hence the beach.

 

Any suggestions?
