Las Ramblas to Princess cruise terminal

We'll be on a cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to Barcelona and then on the one from Barcelona to Venice. The ship arrives at 5:00 a.m. and the next cruise leaves at 7:00 p.m. I'm planning on taking a half day tour with Barcelona Day Tours. I was thinking about having them leave us off at The Ramblas instead of bringing us back to the ship because we'll have all day. How easy would it be to get back to the ship when we're ready? Any help will be appreciated.

There are a number of terminals, but if you are at A,B,C or D on this map (Adossat Terminal) then the port shuttle bus (also described on this website) will be a good option. You catch it at the bottom of Las Ramblas, at the Christopher Columbus monument (#1 on the map).

There are two major terminals that are used. There is one that you can easily walk to from Las Rambles. The other one is further and involved walking across a bridge and for that one you would want to take a taxi. The drive time is about 15 minutes depending on traffic from Las Rambles.

Have the tour drop you at the top of Ramblas, at Placa de Catalunya. Then you can stroll south on Ramblas all the way to the circle where the shuttle bus will take you to your ship. If you walked straight from Placa de Catalunya to the port shuttle bus without stopping you are looking at a walk of less than a mile. Of course there are many places to stop and see on the way. The map Susan posted a link to shows you the shuttle bus pickup. Overall, it would be very easy to do this.
