Tips on Liquor Package?

We just booked the Oslo- Lisbon itinerary for August 26th. Yes, we are excited! This is our second Windstar cruise and happy to be back. We sailed Azamara last summer to the Baltics including St. Petersburg and LOVED it-however, wow!! We needed a vacation from our vacation! We had zero sea days and "we were up and at'em" every day at 0630. We've decided we need a little bit more laid back trip this year.

Because we have been to some of the ports before we may spend more time on board than normal and are thinkng of doing the daily liquor package. I am little confused on the 15% tip- is that on the daily charge for the liquor package- or what we actually drink on the liquor package?

Whatever it is it probably won't make a difference on our decision to buy-- or not buy-- the liquor package. Just trying to figure out how they decide what to charge.

Thanks to any and all in advance for information.

Cheers!

We did the liquor package on our January cruise. The cost is 386.40 per person for a 7 night cruise.

The 15% gratuity is on the 48.00 per day charge - so essentially it is 55.20 per day including the tip.

We enjoyed not having to worry about what we were drinking and the cost. Wine up to 11.50 - all the specialty drinks - beers - etc.

Another service I highly recommend is the laundry package - it was great have clean pressed clothes everyday and allowed us to pack less.

Hope you have a wonderful time.

Thanks for the info- that makes more sense than trying to add 15% to whatever someone drinks.

We're on an 11 night cruise so the laundry package would be more but probably even more worth it as well! I'll check those out.

Good to know it has to be done the first day- that makes sense as well.

Appreciate the tips (no pun intended......)
