Sailing out of New York on the Victory. Which side of the ship do I want to be on for sail away so that I get a view of the Statue of Liberty?

that is where i am going to standing with my camera in hand when we sail away. wow, i cant wait.

Hi , Yes on the way out of port, the statue of Liberty will be on the right side of the ship, however you may want to take better pictures on the way back into NY. When you depart in the afternoon the sun will be shining from behind the statue so you may just get sillouettes. On the way back in the morning the sun will be rising over NYC so the statue will be fully lit by the sun. BETTER PICTURES!
