Interior to Balcony Upgrade - Good deal?

Yeah I pulled the trigger on it but still you wonder.

First time I've ever done it. Oddly my interior room

did nothing but go up in price since January. Not a

single $1.00 reduction. But then I get a reduction in

the price of a room I didn't even book? I suspect that

the balconies were so high they weren't selling but

figured they could sell the lower price interior room.

I'm figuring a $1000. savings.

Anyway the lady from CCL was really nice and patience

while I checked out the location and reviews.

I'm on the Magic 31st too.

Wow! you get the prize. What ship and date?

Valor in June I noticed a pricing glitch a few months ago and they honored it. Very pleased with the customer service. Then a couple days ago I got an email for a $40 balcony upgrade so I took that too. This is only my second cruise and I hit the jackpot.

The odd thing is that I originally turned it down .... don't ask.

But a week later I called back just for the heck if it to see if

the deal was still on the table .... and it was.

I double jumped on it.

I have a port hole room on the magic in Oct. what are the chances of

lightning striking twice!!!!!!

Just curious though .... how do you notice a glitch?

I checked our cruise price multiple times a day. Around 8:00am one day the site said "special offer" for our date. I clicked on it and it said "pay interior price for a balcony room". I immediately took a screen shot of it and called. They first denied me and said it was a computer glitch. That was fine, I knew it was too good to be true. But Carnival must have reconsidered because they switched me to guaranteed balcony a few days later! I just had to pay the $40 or $50 difference. I can't remember what price it was, I was too excited and wanted to pay fast before they changed their mind! Some people don't like Carnival customer service, but for me they got 5 stars!!!!

We got the call too this week. We went from an ocean view to an Ocean Suite for $360.00 on the Victory for 5/2...We jumped on that!!! I wasn't sure if it was deal until after I paid the upgrade, repriced it.. They were selling for $800.00 additional from what I paid for the ocean view. Enjoy!
