Somewhere to store luggage in the Quarter

Your best bet is to head to one of the major convention (Hilton Riverside) hotels that have adequate luggage facilities. Tip the bellman and say you will be back at X o'clock to pick up your bags. There is no need to go into details that you are not actually checking in/out of the hotel. Tip generously on drop off and pick up. It will mean a little longer walk from the FQ, but much more reliable and safe. Also getting a cab will be easy peasy.
