Cove Balcony

Twice-a-year

Recommended Posts

A cove balcony is a sheltered balcony, set into the side of the ship, rather like an enclosed porch. They are very popular, offer more privacy than regular balconies. They are also much closer to the water, being on the second passenger deck. You can look straight down to the ocean. On the Carnival ships with the cove balconies, there is a promenade deck with hot tubs and lots of activities, that runs all around the ship and the other balconies look down on this rather than straight down into the water. Although this is a common design on other cruise lines, it caused a lot of controversy among Carnival cruisers. You might want to visit the Carnival board here at CC and do a search on cove balconies. EM
