Question about sailing out of New Orleans
I was wondering how long does it take from the port of New Orleans to the Atlantic Ocean on the way to the Azores? Is it 2-3 days sailing in the Gulf? Do we swing around Key West to the Atlantic towards Bermuda to the Azores?
Thanks

Of course you will have the 8 hours down the river from NOLA to the Gulf. The track you suggested certainly looks to me as the most logical and I think time in Gulf would be less than 2 days before rounding Key West.

Yes, it's two days from New Orleans to the tip of Florida at the speeds they normally run. Some of the westbound TA's stop in Nassau and then have 2 sea days before they get to New Orleans or Galveston.
