Default Category "D" stateroom

Any pros/cons of any cabin on deck 6?
Anyone stayed in the first ones closest to the midship elevator?
Thanks!

We stayed in 614, about half way down. It was great. Fewer staterooms mean fewer people in the hallway. Would choose this again if we are able to go again.

We too stayed on this deck - cannot remember the number. Was so used to deck 4 that I would actually go to the wrong floors - totally got disorientated. After that back to 4 it was.

We will be in a D in Oct...final payment goes in today, so it's coming up soon. I'll post a report!

We chose the 3 rd cabin in. Our logic was while we prefer as close to mid ship as possible for motion, we didn't want to be right next to the elevator lobby. But in the second cabin from the elevators, the bed faces the stern, (if the cabin photos and deck plans of the bath location is correct) and I'd rather have my bed facing the bow (I have occasionally been motion sick and feel better if I'm " facing" the direction I'm traveling)

I'll let you know if it works out!

Stayed in 624 in May. It was great. We were close to the gym (which we used every morning) and could hear the tender being lowered, but it was never too loud.

Smile Deck 6 cabins very nice

Hi Larry,
We stayed in cabin 626 on our Dec. 2011 cruise and it was great.
Very few cabins on that deck and we never heard any elevator noise.
Same deck as La Veranda. Go for it!

Hi Carduchi - we are in 625 next June - 625 is right across from your 626. My thinking in selecting that cabin was that we only had neighbors on one side and that would allow a more private view to the aft of the ship from our balcony. Do you think being in 626 without aft neighbors is better then other deck 6 cabins? I'm hoping I made a good choice with 625.

Thanks!

Default Good choice

Hi ALBO711,

Yes, definitely a good choice, Its nice when using your balcony to only have neighbours on one side. We would not hesitate to book those cabins again.

Thanks guys - I like the idea of one neighbor as I have been in 310 my two previous trips.
I do like 625 and 626 so next time I will give it a try.
Hello Brenda!!!!!!

We're in 624 leaving on August 11. It's my husbands first cruise. I'm hoping it will be ok with sea sickness. Any thoughts? We did like the idea of being close to the gym but I am worried a little about too much noise and get sick.

If you are on a cruise that's only within FP I wouldn't worry about getting seasick. Ship never moves too quickly.
