Rain Forest

I'm interested in visiting the rain forest on my cruise but we are only in port from 7am to 2pm. Anyone have a recommendation for a tour to the rain forest?

Since it's a bit far from the pier, I'd recommend you book this type of tour with the ship. With such a short port call, there are so many variables that can delay your trip. At least on a ship-booked tour the ship will not leave until you are safely back. And although taxi drivers can (and will!) drive like the devil himself is chasing them in order to get you back in time in case of any eventuality, the ships don't wait for passengers on private tours.

Now, MOST of this ship tours on short stops are basically drive-by yours of the rain forest with (usually) a stop at the La Coca falls which is right by the road and the most famous photo-op and the Yokahu observation tower. Maybe (and hopefully) you might have a bit of time to hike some of the shorter trails, but I wouldn't count on it.
