Very sad and scary circumstances. Not sure if the fall into the icy water caused her death, since she was very ill to begin with, but certainly didn't help.

Thoughts go out to all....family and rescuers.

Terrifying for the husband, the passengers who saw it, & most of all the woman who was dropped. And then to not survive, terrible.

Some more details, she needed CPR after being rescued from the water. Here is a link with details & more photos. It was reported prior to her death so does not include the sad outcome.

Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement!
