Alaska-- gotta try food?

Booked my first Alaskan cruise for the end of May on the Carnival Spirit. Besides salmon, is there any food unique or specific to Alaska that I just have to try? Any specific pastries and such?

From what I hear, these are quite the thing. Some are even sold by street vendors similar to hot-dog carts. It is on my "must-try" list for my Alaskan cruise!

Salmon Roe (salmon eggs) are really good. I love them on my eggs in the morning!

Don't know if you'll be anywhere near Denali, but if you are the reindeer stew served in a bread bowl at the visitor center is pretty daggone good.

Halibut ceviche at a little outdoor cafe in Juneau, across from Wings airways. It is wonderful.
