Dinner in Montreal

Try Toqué! if you're downtown; very classy, excellent food.

If you can live without the 'quiet' part of your description though you'll have access to many more Montreal options - in my view the best food in Montreal is found in more 'busy bistro' places than super-formal establishments.

Every time we go there, the first meal we book is at Au Pied de Cochon - check Google, Tripadvisor, Yelp, Chow etc, to see if you could tolerate the vibe because if you can you will have one of the most gluttonous, over-the-top, stomach & taste-bud satisfying experiences of your life.

You will probably get more responses if you post this on the Chow forum (a forum like Cruise Critic, but oriented towards food/beverages/restaurants/cooking):

Here is a link to the Quebec Board of Chow:

Thank you so much. I've never heard of this site. What fun!!
