Just wondering has anyone taken a taxi to Wharf Beach from the pier?

How was the beach and how much for for 5 people?

Been to St. Lucia a couple of times, and really don't want to do a tour of the island again..

Any thought would be so greatly appreciated.

Happy sailings to all

The Wharf is a restaurant, not a beach

The Beach is Choc beach. The Wharf is open often, but not necessarily all the time. When open, good food and drink, and often some lounge chairs for guests, no charge. Taxi for five will run you around $35-$40US one way. Beach is free, all beaches in St Lucia are public. Beach itself is tan sand, calm waters, but can be murky if we've recently had rain as yet another river empties right near by.....

Consider Vigie beach which is walking distance from port, offers local food and rum shacks down near airport entrance, lots of natural shade, calm swimming waters, etc.

Enjoy, wherever you end up.

ReedPrincess' date=' can you tell me if I can rent beach loungers or floating mats at Vigie?

Thanks![/quote']

Yes I can tell you and no, there are no loungers or floating for rentat Vigie. Vigie is a very local beach, undeveloped for tourism, and has loads of natural shade, local food shacks and access to bathrooms at the airport across the way. Otherwise, beautiful beach with swimming waters Nd more local experience, not tourist related.

Enjoy tour visit.
