How much extra do you tip your waiter at the end of your cruise, if you're happy with the sevice? We're cruising carnival and have the built in tipping, but about an additional tip?

Balcony,
It would depend on the service. We didn't tip any extra, but then we didn't do any formal dining on our 3 nighter. I feel like you should tip what you think is correct, not have it taken from your account automatically. That is why I like Celebrity over Carnival.

If that's your only reason for choosing Celebrity over Carnival...

...You can very easily remove the auto-tipping and request envelopes for tipping on your own. (MOST people don't, but you can with no problem.)

Have you even been on a Carnival cruise?

Balcony, I'm a solo cruiser, and usually take five-night cruises. I tip my cabin steward $10 extra, waiter $10 extra - on the last evening. (If it were a seven-nighter, I'd increase it a bit.)
