Overnight Parking Near Zoo, Oahu

I am looking for overnight parking options in Oahu near the zoo. I am not crazy about the hotel parking garages as I have read they are expensive and some only offer valet service. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I just found a article and you can't park at the Zoo parking lot more than 4 hours (sorry can't seem to take the attachment off).

There is no free parking.

I don't expect to find free parking. The hotel I am staying at only offers valet parking and the reviews are not good. It is looks like they take the corners too quick and damage cars. Would like to park the rental myself.

The meter maids in Hawaii and particularly Lahaina are like cockroaches, there everywhere. Be sure to double/triple reading parking signs, if it say's 1 hour they mean 1 hour and carry lots of chalk for mark tire.

It's safer to park at the hotel. However, free street parking is available around Kapiolani Park or along the Ala Wai Canal. It depends on how far you willing to walk.
