I have always wanted to try scuba diving and there is a "Discover Scuba Diving" excursion in Bermuda on my upcoming cruise. Has anyone done this and, if so, what did you think of the experience?

We did a Discover Scuba dive in Cancun. This may have been one of the worst ideas ever, as it opened up a bottomless pit that we like to throw money in as often as possible. We've been logging 20-50 dives a year since then, both home in the cold California waters and all over the Caribbean when we can get away.
What do you have to lose? If you are comfortable in the water and are reasonably fit, go for it! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 Last edited by Kryssa; February 15th, 2013 at 11:26 AM. |

Discover SCUBA will give a nice taste of the sport. If you enjoy it, you can go on to become certified. I've been a diver for over 35 years and find I can still enjoy it as my joints complain about other active sports on dry land. I just need a smidge of help getting the gear to the water now days.
Go for it!
