Currency in Caribbean

We booked the Viking West Indies Explorer which stops in 9 countries.

Can you use US currency in all ports ?

(Basically for buying souvenirs)

You should be able to sure USA currency at all ports. And at stores you could use credit cards.

It could depend upon your ports. St Barth's was the only one on our cruise that really didn't take US dollars. Euros or credit card seem to the what they wanted.

You should be able to use USD in virtually all countries. However, make sure you ask if you will get US change, because many times they will attempt to give change in local currency.
