AirBnB in Galveston, any recommendations?

I'm thinking of going with an AirBnB for me and my 2 sons when we are in Galveston this October for two pre cruise nights. Does anyone have one they would recommend? I'd like to be within walking distance from the shops, pier, etc. Thank you so much in advance!

At a VRBO- the Mermaid Cottage now. It's great though only a studio. One king bed and a couch.

I have never stayed there, but the Schaefer Haus seems to fit the bill and will give you a free parking permit if you are willing to leave your car on the street while you cruise. I am debating whether to tempt fate with the on-street parking myself and would like to talk someone into trying it before I do...
