Default Dream Inside SPA Cabin

We are currently booked in a Inside Cabin, is it worth an extra $180 to upgrade to a SPA Inside cabin? Is having access to the Spa the only advantage? For those who have done it was it really worth it? Has anyone ever got an awesome deal on a Spa cabin?

Thank you in advance

Not sure how far out you are from your sail date, but we kept watching and were able to upgrade most of our party to spa level cabins for free or very little money ... that said, the decor in the spa cabins is beautiful, you will receive upgraded amenities including Elemis shampoo, conditioner, lotion (very nice), slippers and robes in the cabin, access to the spa (which we used quite a bit), and the spa cabins are in a very quiet area - no noise issues at all.

Would I pay an extra $180 for this? Maybe - if I were going to use the spa I definitely would, as the spa pass for 2 is $250 (I think ... we had it included). The thelassotherapy pool was wonderful as were the heated loungers - and the location was very convenient for us. Are some slippers and special shampoo enough on their own? Not even close.

Hmmmm
$180 to upgrade to receive what would cost you $250 {rate for 2 weekly spa passes.} to get without taking the upgrade.
Sounds like win win to me.

It all depends how much are you going to use the spa. Only you can answer that.

Thank you!

It's a little confusing, it seems all the spa cabins are forward...I always thought that the mid-ship was the best location...Is it true forward cabins you can feel the sea much more???

Default Spa

We had an interior spa cabin on the Dream. I would recommend you get the cabin! We really enjoyed the spa. We enjoyed it so much that I don't want to get on a ship that doesn't have the cloud 9 spa.

We did feel quite a bit of movement but we also came within 80 miles of a hurricane. I think everyone felt the movement.

It was already mentioned but you get sample sized bottles of Elemis shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Ours was refilled once during our cruise. I honestly didn't care for the products. You also get a robe and slippers to use that are a better quality.

The rooms are forward but they are also very close to the spa steps and elevator (super slow) which makes it easy to walk down to the spa in your robe without getting weird looks. It was convenient.

You have access to the thalasso pool which is like a huge hottub only not as hot. It's very relaxing. You will also have access to the the steam rooms which overlook the ocean and have heated tile seats. One is a eucalyptus steam room (opens up your sinuses). There is also a relaxation room with refreshments with padded lounge chairs overlooking the ocean as well. The VIP locker rooms (what you will have access to (behind locked doors) has really nice hair dryers and large showers.

It was a great experience and it's nice to get away and enjoy the peace and quiet. If you have late dinner, around 5:30 the spa is completely empty which is great!

I too am concerned about movement, so far from the aft but I still can't wait to try it...

We put most of our family in spa cabins for our next cruise. After buying the couples pass on our last cruise we knew that we would get the pass again. When we started pricing our trip this time we found that it was such a small difference to book into spa cabins. We would have done it for all of us, but there was only one quad left and we needed two plus a double.

Its a $200 price difference from an aft cabin on riviera but only a $70ish difference from more upper/mid/fwd decks. Its totally worth $200 more to me to get from Riviera to Panorama and not having to buy a spa pass saves $250 that we know we will for sure spend. If you enjoy relaxing then I would get the spa cabin

How do you book a spa cabin, or find the rates for them? On the Carnival website I just see cabins broken down as interior, outside, etc. I'd love to consider the spa cabin!

We booked an inside spa cabin on the Splendor for earlier this month for 449.00 on deck 10 and was well worth it to us. We were just around the corner from the staircase up to the spa. it was great being that close.

Not all ships have spa cabins.

Cloud 9 Spa cabins are on Splendor, Dream, Magic, Breeze and Sunshine.
They are listed in the same way as the regular cabins but will say Cloud 9 Spa Interior, Ocean View, Balcony or Suite

Just a note though not all cabins on Deck 11 are Cloud 9 Spa cabins. Except on Sunshine.

We just got off the Dream and had a spa suite. We really liked it. The rooms are very nice, the products are good and the Spa is great. The pass for the week is 250 so if you can upgrade for 180 it may be worth it if you are going to use the Spa. The Thasso pool and the tile beds and steam rooms were awesome. You will feel the movement of the ship. Alot. I was surprised at how much it moved and shuddered but it didn't bother us and it was nice at night to sleep.

If you are going to use the Spa several times during your cruise, it may be worth it. We had a Spa balcony cabin and only used the Spa one time, so in our case, we wouldn't do it again. Our cruise was quite rough and the thalasso pool was difficult to move in as the water was sloshing over the edges of the pool big time.

We also felt a lot of movement on the ship by being so far forward. I also didn't care for the scent of the tiny Elemis bottles in the bathroom. I think, if we were younger, rather than being seniors, we would have gotten more enjoyment from the Spa. My DH has trouble walking, so for him to get into the thalasso pool was next to impossible. I didn't really want to leave him to go to the pool, although I did the one time we went to the Spa.

I think it's a great place to relax, but unfortunately, not for us.

We love the spa area!Have used it on the Dream when we had a spa cabin and on Princess paid extra to use.I love the Tpool and heated ceramic loungers and my DH loves the saunas. We are on Carnival Splendor in April and to save some money booked our first inside, but it is a spa cabin.Hopefully we like the inside but we know we will love the spa area.

Just got back from having an inside spa room on the Dream. We loved the spa. The halassotherapy pool and the heated lounge chairs!

Due to price drops we didn't pay much more than a regular inside room but it was worth every penny - even without the price drops.

Am I the only one who had fun with the T-Pool sloshing back and forth ?
We had a couple of times when this happened and the pool would wave fwd to back. You could sit at one end and ride the wave to the completely opposite end. It would have been annoying if it was always like that - but we made the best of it
