What?! That was there all along? Yes, it was, right across from cabin 6360
Thanks. That's really nice to know, especially since I'm booking our next cruise this evening after my wife gets home (to get her input on which cabin) and we'll most likely be on deck 6.

Loved the review. Thanks for taking the time.

Loving your review. Just booked the Triumph last week for the 2/2 sailing (next week). Thanks for sharing your experiences.
We have been in Cozumel twice, once on the Ecstasy and once on the Triumph. Both times, we docked with the pier on our left. That would be the even numbered cabins.

Thank you for the compliment, Ashley, and to everyone who commented on the review. It's fun for me to relive our trip. I enjoy doing it and I'm glad y'all like reading it.

Happy sailing!!

Donovan was our waiter too! I was so impressed with his service and his upbeat friendly demeanor. I never saw. anyone move as fast as he did

This is so funny, because my bf tried to pull "we don't need to be on the ship until 10 minutes before sail time (not back on the ship time). We sat at the bar on the pier in St. Kitts and he swore all the other bar patrons had to be cruise passengers too. At 25 minutes til (5 minutes after back on board time), I started freaking and got up from the table and left him. You could see me running down the pier waving my arms at the agents while my bf meandered back. Our kids could see us from the aft-view balcony.

When he finally walked up to the boarding plank, the agents said "that's everyone" and they pulled the plank in. I shot my bf a nasty look and needless to say, we had a little fight that night. But now he looks back and realizes it was stupid to wait that late....especially with our teenagers on the ship and us still on the pier.

It happens guys - some people need a little shocking to realize that the ship will leave without you!

Incredibly, they showed up at the end of the pier at 4:30 pm, a full hour late. After rummaging through their bags for several minutes, presumably to find their ID, they were allowed to proceed down the pier, which they did at a most leisurely rate. They actually just ambled down the pier, not even picking up their pace when the captain sounded the horn again. I don’t know what sort of adventure they had been on, but they did not look like happy campers. Just a thought, if you are going to be an hour late getting back, at least TRY to look like you are hurrying!

The captain did kindly wait for them, however. We pulled away from the pier immediately after they boarded.

By the way, the duty free shop on the pier had closed by 3:30 (back on board time), so if you are planning to make any purchases on your way back to the ship, allow plenty of time for that.

If you aren't lucky enough to have a balcony to watch pier runners, go to the very front of the ship on deck 6 and walk outside. There were several people there, but it wasn't at all crowded and affords a good view.

No, we never got a chance to try the pizza, but it must have been good because the pizzeria was always busy. Lots of people eating there all the time.

Egad, what a story! I would have been panicking. I do NOT like to cut it close at all. We always allow lots of time.

Yes, they do. There was one on our second sea day, but we didn't go so I can't tell you anything about it. Sorry I can't give you more info.

For Doug, MelAnne, MsPerkey and others who will soon be sailing: thanks for your nice comments about the review. I know you'll all have a wonderful time. Don't miss the shows (comedy shows, marriage show and the music/dancing shows in the main showroom). They were a highlight of the trip, all were excellent! Have fun!

Loved your review and we just got off the Triumph on Thursday the 24th. While I was reading, I felt like we experienced some of the same things.....Donovan was our waiter most of the time in the London....Loved him and we would see him during the day and he would greet us by name and he was always smiling!!!! We were in the inside hallway on deck 6 in 6293 and Newman was our steward too, but this is where things are different....we saw him 1 time and my poor husband was always having to go to the ice dispenser to get us ice, because it never seemed to get filled up. I had to laugh about not getting your big blue towels until at the end of the cruise, because we had them when we got in our room and they were there while we were docked in Progresso, but they dissappeared that night, we guess during the night time turn down.
Also, I got very sick the 3rd night of the cruise (ER visit in Galveston upon return, to discover I contacted Norovirus), and the next day I could not evven leave the bathroom, much less the cabin and he called us on the phone to ask when we woud be leaving the cabin, to which my husband explained that I was very sick, but apparently by the sound of the conversation, he really wanted to clean the room, so I got out of bed to keep the peace between my hubby and the steward, and went to find a secluded spot to sit on deck( luckily it was pretty deserted because everyone else was in Cozumel having fun) and we waited for about 1 or so, before going back so I could go back to bed and have my own bathroom....but when we open the door, the room hasn't been touched...needless to say my husband was on the phone with the housekeeping manager and then guest services. The next day, still sick as I have ever been, No One asked me to leave my room!!!! Oh but our towels came back knocking on this day which was the last sea day.

We have sailed the Triumph before in Oct 2011, and that cruise was exceptional, but this time, the crew's attitudes seemed less than friendly in most cases and it just wasn't the best we have ever had, well of course especially for me, spending 2 1/2 days inside a cabin sicker than ever was not my idea of vacation, but what cha gonna do....I will sail her again, once the memory of being so sick on a rocking boat dims with time..LOL....but really was nice to read your review and live my cruise as it should have been thru you!!!!!

I’m not the greatest conversationalist, but after a few minutes of everyone very studiously buttering their bread and staring at their plates, I tried to get something going. I asked if anyone had seen any of the shows last night. No, no one had. They all went to bed early. End of discussion. More silence. A few minutes later, I made another effort. Does anyone have any interesting shore excursions planned for Cozumel tomorrow? No, none of them did. More silence.

First, Thanks for your review. That was one of the best ones I have ever read here. We had a similar situation dining at times, no one was talking. I am not one of the most vocal people, but I do like meeting people and "breaking the ice" in a situation like that. I find it helpful to ask open ended questions so they can't respond with a yes or no answer. Try "what do you want to see in Cozumel" or, "whats your favorite thing to do on this ship". "Where do you live?" and "what do you do there?" works too.

I know some folks simply won't join in regardless, but for the most part, most people can be drawn in. Some I think might just be too tired and just not up to talking undr any circumstance. Any way, thanks again. And congrats on winning in the Casino. We had NO luck at all, LOL.
