Non-AI beach with snorkel trip

I understand that a sandy beach doesn't have good snorkeling, but daughter and I want sandy beach and husband and son want snorkeling.

So what I would like to find is a place that has nice sandy beach, loungers, food/drinks available(but not all inclusive) that has a snorkel trip that leaves from the beach or nearby and goes to the reefs.

Any suggestions?

Papitos beach club. You don't need to pay for the AI and their $35 price includes snorkeling. They're located in the punta sur marine reserve so the snorkeling should be pretty good due to the protected water. Heading there next week, will report back.

I would suggest Chankanaab. There's no need for a snorkeling tour and it can be done right there in front of the beach area. There's plenty of sand for you and there's also another beach there (other than the snorkeling one) that has easy entrance if that's what you're looking for.

I have 2 reviews in my signature line of Chankanaab and HERE and HERE are links to my pictures of the place.
