Default Want to do Epic Haven so much!

Husband and I really want to do the Epic in the Haven in January 2014. My husband is currently a nursing student and will be graduating from nursing school in May 2014. Our 5 year wedding anniversary will be in 2014 and his 50th birthday will be October 2013. So we have a lot to celebrate. We really want to go big and do the Haven but I think it may just be a little too expensive for us. We are also considering an all inclusive that seems to give us more bang for the buck and is much cheaper when everything is added up. I have done comparisions and the all inclusives can be as much as 2,000 cheaper. Can you all help me to decide. We want to do the Haven and sail the Epic but we may just have to wait until hubby gets a job and wait another few years. Has anyone done both and AI and the Haven (especially on the Epic) and can give me their thoughts. Happy cruising!

What about doing an aft penthouse (cheapest suite on Epic). It is not located in the Haven but has full Haven access and all the suite privledges.

David - There are also some Haven Courtyard Penthouses on deck 17. I think they should be the same price as the Aft Penthouses but you are in the Haven. We stayed in an Aft Penthouse last year and thought it was kinda small. Booked a 2 bedroom family villa for January. Of course the price is higher.

By the way, thank you for all you're great posts. You have been very knowledgable and helpful to us.

I wish they were the same price. I paid $1600 more in 2010. Check the NCL site, they charge lots more for a suite in the Haven

Neil, I just did a price check for Jan 2014. Haven penthouse $2379 pp and Aft penthouse $1879 pp $1000 difference for 2 people

We recently booked an Epic Spa Suite for January 2014. We are celebrating 20th anniversary as well as a milestone birthday. We were looking at all inclusives, which we have done on two previous occasions, and then we found the EPIC. What was the difference maker for us is that at the all inclusive resorts we have stayed at, we have found the food to get tiresome after a couple of days. Plus the idea of being able to experience a variety of islands is a bonus. We are also paying more than if we were going to an AI, but I think the butler service, entertainment, and other factors will make it well worth the additional cost.
