Carnival, 2016, New Ship - What do you want to see?

Recommended Posts

So as you all know, Carnival is said to be launching a new ship in 2016. According to Wikipedia it'll have a 4000 passenger capacity and 135,000 GT (their biggest ship built). So what do you want to see? Just to name two: new interesting itineraries, and make the promenade deck a little more interesting (I haven't been on the newer Dream class but it seems they've added a little more to it). Just imagine you're the naval architect for Carnival, okay go! :D

Hopefully they'll be a bit more creative than adding another deck and calling it a new design.

Seriously:

- Better space to passenger ratio

- Different ship layout, with better passenger flow.

- Expanded Cloud 9 accommodations and facilities.

- More alternative dining venues

- More eye pleasing and toned down decor (like Breeze)

- Smoking ban on all balconies.

- Better quality entertainment and shows

- NO Seaside Theater

- Itineraries that don't include Nassau or Cozumel.

- Ditch the singing waiters

Oh, and home port the ship in Charleston, SC. Offer extended 10-11 day itineraries. (Maybe a Belize, Costa Rica, Panama, Cartagena itinerary) :)

A bigger club for the comedy shows, they are always full and don't empty them between shows so you can get shut out or as my luck always stuck in the back somewhere standing.

Larger serenity deck so you don't have to run up there first thing in the morning to get a decent spot or any spot.

- One new and exciting "innovation" (gimmick) of some sort

- New design focused on the exterior with a futuristic look

- At least two or three new alternative dining venues

- Expanded Lido Area with large pools. (Carnival's pools can be small sometimes with the especially on the Conquest Class)

- Expanded Waterworks with new slide varieties.

- A ship that is longer than 1,100 ft

This is not innovated because Viking river cruise is introducing this on their new ocean going cruise ship. An infinity pool aft. I also think ncl breakaway outside eating venues look pretty neat. Now something they could be innovated with, is create forward facing balconies. I know that would be difficult do to the wind at night. But with today's advances in engineering you would think something could be designed to deflect the wind.

I just want to name it...The (new) President. It being 2016 and all....

Glad Carnival didn't follow the advice on the last election year! :o

It doesn't matter who won. That would've been one fugly ship name.

-lazy river that goes around the whole ship with drink stations along the way.

...and make sure that there are some easy access potties along the way, or treat the water with some heavy chemicals.

I mean, considering how some people just seem to linger in pools and hot tubs, drinking for hours without taking a potty break. :o

It leaving out of NY....

Considering how Quantum of the Seas, Norwegian Breakway and Royal

Princess will all be cruising from the NY area, it's not a far fetched idea.

I want it to take at least a few cruises out of NY too. And if it's in the winter, can it go to a different itinerary then Port Canaveral, Nassau and Freeport? Would also like to have exhaust fans in the bathrooms and digital clocks next to the beds. How hard can that be??

Always worry where those ice cubes may have originated...;)
