I'm on ideal protein which is no or little carbs and adequate protein. Loving it. Have lost 17 lbs in 3 weeks. Plan to continue through the holidays. My first cruise is planned for Feb12. I like what I'm eating and I like how I feel. However I do want to drink on the cruise and maybe have some desserts. I can do without bread and potatoes. I'm already concerned about how to drink and not get sick Will probably have to test it a couple of weeks before the cruise.

I also drank - We are D+ so had Sprite Zero with Vodka and Lime - no carbs and only 100 cals per drink -

Although I did not do desserts - I have heaving whipping cream every night - maybe 1 or 2 carbs and then after-dinner drink of Frangelico and Bailey's = equal carbs - that that is the only 'known' carbs I had!

Ideal protein is basically a low carb and adequate protein diet. I do it through my job (cardiac practice). So I have 3 protein supplement packets a day. 4 cups of veggies and 8 oz of protein. I have so many recipes to help. I love it. Not hungry don't even want carbs anymore. There is a fb page called ideal protein alternatives that explains how to do it without going to a center.

Awesome! I love it. It's been so easy. I did try it once before and has trouble because I kept cheating. This time I'm 5 weeks in no cheats. Having my first cruise coming up is certainly helping me to stay motivated too! If you can get Janevas cookbook too it's a big help. There's a fb page for that too with recipes!

Good for you - if you have made it 5 weeks - then you have the 'taste' and cravings for sugar and carbs gone - just don't go back!

Still going strong! I like the ideal protein but found another that looks good too and you can have cheese! Ketogenic success fb group. Still low carb. Less strict. Will keep doing what I'm doing until I plateau then mat switch it up. The last 2 weeks I've only lost 1 lbs each week but it's still a loss and have lost inches too!

I agree with you Tracy - slow and steady - I have lost sooooo many inches - and finally can say I have lost 61 POF (Pounds of fat) in 11 months - that is about 1.35 POF per week - will take that! I am going for the same goal this year - 1.25 POF per week - that is still 65 POF total per year - I only need to lose about 50 POF so all totaled that will be 112 GONE!

Keep the faith and moving forward with low carbs - I have now lost 66 POF (pounds of fat) in about 11 months - so please with my progress -

This is a WOE (way of eating) that I can live with - even while cruising!

Way to go! I upped my fat a little and amazingly have been losing almost a pound a day. Added bullet proof coffee. Coffee with a tablespoon of coconut oil and a tablespoon of kerrygold butter. I add a little heavy cream and truvia too. Gives me tons of energy

WOW - Good for you- 1 POF gone per day is great!

Unfortunately Coconut and I don't get along - it is one of my few allergies - so I use butter and heavy whipping cream - LOVE BPC -

Have it in the mornings while cruising instead of breakfast some times

Here another 'tactic' I use in the MDR - while my dinner companions fill up on rolls and butter before dinner - I just eat a serving of butter - ups my fats and helps to satisfy me before I eat - so I eat less!

FINALLY dropped the last 4 POF to say that I am down 70 POF to start 2017 - my goal this year is to drop another 40 POF and then just maintain!

Tracy - I had many many plateaus over the last year = hang in there -

It seems like me body would just hold the weight like, "NO I WILL NOT GIVE UP THE POUNDS" then all of a sudden "Whosh" 2 more POF gone!

We leave for B2B on Liberty out of Galveston this week so I know I will not lose - but with my WOE I will not gain anything more than water-weight and it drops off in about 1 week!

I hope you have a fantastic time? Do you drink on the cruise! I don't drink a lot but will on my cruise and that's what will mess things up but I plan to continue this woe and back to no alcohol after the cruise
