A little late to the thread and will be in Labadee in 9 months. Anyone remember the cost of the zip line?

The last time I was there was in 2015, and it was $99pp. It may be more now.

We just did a Harmony cruise and did the clamshell chairs and zipline (for my son's). At the time of our cruise the clamshell chairs were $45 (per clamshell of two chairs) and the zipline was $98.50. However, there were several Cruise Planner sales on and off before we went and I was able to get the clamshell chairs for $38.00 and the zipline for $71.50.

I believe the clamshell chairs are on Adrenaline Beach...the zipline goes right by out over the water. The clamshells were nice. There are plenty of free chairs on Labadee, but shade was somewhat limited. I wanted to make sure we had a place to not sit out and just roast....so paying the $$ for the clamshells was worth it.

This will be my first cruise on RCI. When should I look for those on Cruise Planner for best prices?

You might want to check today. I saw on one board that there was a Cruise Planner sale going on now for certain sailings.

For our cruise, I would literally go on there a couple times a week to check on prices for stuff (we booked about five months out from our sailing date). However, I was really excited to go on our trip and checking Cruise Planner, message boards, excursion reviews, etc. just helped me pass the time until our date. A couple times I got lucky and got some better prices on stuff.

Those clamshells are $45.00 pp so $90.00....we got a nice spot
With all day shade it was well worth it. Tip if you buy a beer bag on board bring it to Labadee the will load it up with ice and beers. We forgot ours on board and I thought the beers were a bit warm.

Right now, through midnight 20 Aug, the zip line is on sale for $76 per person (reg price is $95) and the clamshell 'beach lounger for two' is on sale for $36 per person (reg price is $45).

It's $45 for two people in a Clam Shell, not per person, reserve only 1 Clam Shell.

The web site is a little misleading. It asks how many people for the clamshell lounger (not how many clamshells). If you say 1, Life is Good is correct - the cost is $45. If you say 2 people, the cost is $90 - but I assume that give you two loungers (?), not two people, like they ask for on the website. Good info - thanks for passing that along Life is Good Cruising.

Never been to Labadee and have enjoyed looking at some of the pictures. I've seen a couple pictures online of what appears to be a stone walkway that looks out to sea, with a few benches, lounge chairs, and tables/umbrellas. I'm thinking it is near Dragon's Bar? Is it difficult to get a space there to sit and enjoy a drink and the view? The more I look at the pictures of this the more I am looking forward to it, just don't want to disappoint myself if its near impossible to get a spot there.

You're correct, it is misleading for the Clamshells on the Cruise Planner, as it does come with 2 loungers. It is a total of $45 for 2 people to rent a Clamshell that has 2 Loungers inside.

Besides Barefoot Beach which is for Suites and Pinnacles, IMO, one of the best beaches on Labadee is Columbus Cove, which has soft sand and no rocks.

To go to Columbus Cove, you can take either the water taxi which will be on your right as you exit the ship or you can take a tram at the first roundabout. Walking will take approx. 20 minutes to reach Columbus Cove, plenty of loungers for sun or shade there.

Every so often (it seems like every month), RCCL runs an online sale. I booked the zipline for around $76 pp in the sale last month.

Don't forget to walk up to the top of the hill to Dragons Breath lookout. It is beautiful and worth a few minutes.

It is to your left as you enter Labadee. The path goes up the hill by where the zip line ends. You kind of have to know it is there.

Short path (bathroom up there too) takes you to see the ocean, the zip line and the ship. Great spot for pictures. There's a round lookout area.

When the waves come through the rocks, you can hear the dragon breathe.
