Gopro- timer to start recording?

I haven't played much with my new 3+ black, so I might have just missed this feature, but is there a way to set a timer to start recording later? Can I put in on my balcony (securely obviously) and have it start recording at sunrise? There is no way I will be up that early on vacation, but it would be nice to film. :D

Interesting question. I don't know if it has a timer feature. If not, as an alternative, If you have an iPhone and the app (or a GoPro remote) could you not use the iPhone to turn it on and start it in the morning without having to get out of bed? And oh BTW, Of course you need a constant power source as the batteries would not last long

This is the only solution I've ever heard of. No internal camera settings are available to do what you want.
