Oversized Souvenirs

Have wondered about this several times and finally decided to ask. We are sailing in December and would like to buy some Christmas gifts in Grand Cayman or Cozumel that might be too big for our suitcase. Is it possible to ship souvenirs back and if so how do we go about it?

Yes, it is possible to ship something from Grand Cayman to Kansas. The store you buy it in can help you with this. Just make sure that everything will work the way you want it to BEFORE you hand over your money. Be more careful about this in Cozumel than in Grand Cayman. Too often people in Mexico that are trying to sell you something will answer every question with a yes until they have your money.

We used to buy souvenirs for family where ever we traveled. Now when we cruise we buy things when we return home and give them and save the effort of lugging all the souvenirs home from the cruise.

You can ship items but the shipping tends to be rather expensive. :eek:

Just compare prices, because many things you can buy there are available for much less money in your local Wallmart :D

often the price of shipping is higher than the price you pay for the merchandise. It also takes quite a bit of time for it to arrive. If you are okay with that, then the shops should be able to take care of it.
