What is the best beach for snorkeling

We were in Grenada several years ago and went on a spice tour and at the end we went to a beach but it was terrible, dirty and looked like the sewage was going in to the sea. Can't remember the name of it.

We will be going back here in March and were wanting to find a good clean beach with possibly some snorkeling. Any advice?? Also how to get there and approximately the cost.

Is this beach a nice place to get chairs, umbrella and food as well? Or can you suggest anyplace else too? Is the sand here white? We are looking for somewhere that we can possibly snorkel from the beach that has services as well. When we went there the sand was almost a dirty brown color. Sorry for all the questions..

Away from the Cruise Herds? On the mainland?

Then consider the small reef in front of Aquarium Beach Restaurant.

If arriving on a Sunday, then there is a fabulous BBQ Lunch with a live Caribbean Band. Book your arrival for lunch (snack type or restaurant) well in advance, as sunbeds are very limited.

Grand Anse Beach or BBC Beach are both very nice and you can easily snorkel off both of them. Neither has amazing wildlife though so suggest if you want some good snorkeling and more you book a trip with Grenada Seafaris (check their TripAdvisor reviews). They are key members of the group that work to maintain and develop the Underwater Sculpture Park. The Park is also within the Marine Protected Area so you will see wildlife and the sculptures. They normally meet you int he cruise ship terminal and if you ask and they have hotel guests they would drop you at Grand Anse Beach. You would have to make your own way back to your ship but this is easy with either water taxis or land taxis. :cool:
