Kids cruise cards on Princess

Traveling with 3yo and 7yo sons. Obviously they will either be with an adult or in kids club. When do they need their cruise cards? Just for getting on and off ship or do they need them other times too? Just trying to figure out best way to carry everything!

They need them to get on and off the ship. For nothing else as they will always be with you.

YOU hold their cards....kids only need them if they are roaming on their own!!!!

Our niece uses her card for buying drinks and reserving special dining (Dr. Seuss brunch) because it makes her feel a little more independent. She is 8 and we cruise with her often. She (and her little sister) carry their cards on a Vera Bradley zip ID/lanyard, but they are with us other than when they are at Camp.

The seven year old probably will like having his own room key. My son loved opening the doors at that age. You can put it on a lanyard. I guess it depends if your child is responsible with his things or is apt to lose it.

If the 7yo is responsible, use a lanyard. Doesn't have to go around the neck, attached to a belt loop and tucked into a pocket will work.

We use the coil ones from various casinos.
