How long of a walk from the pier to the education center? Can't find any maps of city online.

I'm booked for the above departure for a 7 day cruise.

I've never cruised before so this is new for me.

I've read from some of you about doing the water snorkling etc. Well, I dive, and am wondering if i should bring my own equipment minus the tanks of course??:confused::confused:

Also any help on how much clothing/types etc. would very much be appreciated.

Do you depart from Papeete on the island of Tahiti?

I think your best source of information is on the roll call of your cruise, check out the roll calls of your cruise line and then the name of the ship. Sorry, I have no information on diving.

Clothing on Tahiti is casual; avoid very revealing clothing on all islands. The locals tend to wear large board shorts and t-shirts; the women also wear sun dresses usually with short sleeves, especially to church. They sell plenty of colorful pareos as beach wear over bathing suits.

I'm guessing a good 30 mins. It's hot and you can't get into the "festival" unless you are on a Princess tour - so they say!! The price of the tour was different for P and O and Princess. Good luck finding a map!;)
