Wave runners/para-sailing on beach?

We are going to Cozumel & Progreso next week... we are probably going to do a beach day/shopping/double decker bus tour/massages at the beach and town center.

On the beach I know people have mentioned many times that there are quite a few vendors... do they offer wave runners/ para-sailing? (On Miami beach, there are vendors up and down the ocean and you can rent on the spot rather than reserve a full excursion.) I would rather pay for water "toys" in Progreso than Cozumel as I am sure it will be more affordable in Progreso!

6 days and I will be aboard my first cruise! :-)

I have not seen any of this activity on the beach in Progreso but then we usually leave town after the dd bus and go on an excursion. I do know that I've seen para-sailing in Cozumel at Palancar Beach and I"m sure there are other places as well

We were there a few weeks ago and didn't see any.
