Ferry to JVD?

Recommended Posts

Taxi from cruise dock to West End, and ferry to Great Harbor, Jost. Foxy's is in Great Harbor, we like it there. Just taxi over the hill to White Bay, Soggy $, Seddy's One Love, and Ivan's are there.

Ferry schedule below, $25pp roundtrip -

There is also a private operator, check http://www.bvi360.com

Perhaps, but you will need to leave Great Harbor at noon - not my idea of a fun day...

I would save Jost for when you stay on Tortola. Try Smuggler's Cove or even a Long Bay Resort day pass. Smuggler's is doable, one of the two best beaches on Tortola.

Thanks for the recommendation! Smuggler's Cove looks like a great place to enjoy the morning/early afternoon. We have some friends who will be in St. Thomas who want to meet us in Tortola for the day. Do you know what ferry stop they would get off at to meet us at Smuggler's? Looks like there are several - West End or Road Town.

About how long is the taxi from the cruise dock to Smuggler's?

They will want to ferry to West End, they can rent a car from Jerry's ($50/day includes everything) which is right near there, he'll meet them at the ferry or they can taxi from WE to Smuggler's for $20pp round trip for 2 people ($16pp for 3 or more). Drive time maybe 15 - 20 min over Zion or quicker over Belmont.

Taxi from cruise dock is maybe a 30 minute drive, $32pp round trip for 2 people, $24pp for 3 or more.

Patricia serves excellent grilled food and has a small bar and souvenir stand, Nigel rents snorkel gear. Nothing fancy here and only portapotties for restrooms, but that's why it's not as crowded as CGB and it is definitely gorgeous. Lounge chairs are scattered around Patricia's and are free.

Tell Patricia folks who love her cooking sent you!
