Thanks for the links and info.

Any idea how often this happens? Fortunately, it looks like it is getting fixed rather quickly. (At least to us. But it probably doesn't feel that way to those waiting to transit!)

We are scheduled to pass through the Canal in early September.

I have never heard of this before (doesn't mean it doesn't happen) ergo my thread. Hoping someone who 'knows' comes on to give us the scoop. We are going through next year :)
