I'm trying to find out some information regarding a gift that was purchased from the Bon Voyage Gift Dept. If you received the Chocolate Delight gift since 10/06/12 ONLY ON THE CARNIVAL LIBERTY, was it like the picture on the website(see link below) or different? TIA

They are "suppose" to look like the picture...at least they have in the past when we have ordered them. The plate my daughter received looked like a 5 year old dipped the bottoms of the strawberries in chocolate, 2 red cookies, and 2 chocolate dots the size of maybe a quarter. John in BV said this is the new chocolate Delight they are doing(what my daughter received)...trying to find out if anyone else got what the picture looked like or something totally different. Thanks.

I usually order this for friends and family. If what my daughter received is the new Chocolate Delight, I will not be ordering it anymore. It looked like a 5 yo put it together!!

Aha... I completely understand! I had to go look at your profile & see the pic. That is nothing like what is represented in the BV gift order.

Not very appetizing :( I know the chocolate dipped strawberries dressed to look like tuxedos I see on the ship look much better than this! Don't blame you for being disappointed.

I would call John back and ask him why the picture online doesnt look like what she received and forward that picture maybe but not likely they will refund you

They have a picture of what she received and my letter of disappointment!! They told me this is the NEW version of the Chocolate Delight!!!:mad: Looks to me like they ran out and stuck whatever on a plate and gave it to them so they "received" something!! I just want to know if that IS the case! If so, I WILL NOT be ordering it again!

They asked me why they didn't bring it down to customer service and let them see it...Well...this WAS a gift that they had no clue what is was suppose to look like or that they were getting it until they boarded!!

Its unfortunate but customer service after the fact usually sucks through Carnival.I understand that they didnt know what to expect ,but if something didnt look right I would have been calling room service right away

I ordered it on the dream 10/13 and it was gross! Tossed it all after one bite.

I wish I would have shown her what it WAS suppose to look like before they left. But being that it was a surprise, I didn't. I would have contacted room service myself...but wasn't sailing with them.

Yes, the pic in your signature is the Chocolate Delight we received on the 10/06 Liberty cruise. It was not good at all, especially the red cookie type things which were soggy and stuck to the plate. The one in the link looks amazing!

Uh oh, I ordered one of these for each of our rooms for our cruise next Saturday. I wonder if I can cancel them. What is in that picture does not look good at all and not even close to what I ordered.

According to John at Carnival, that IS what I ordered...their NEW Chocolate Delight plate!! :eek: I would definitely cancel my order!! If you really want some good chocolate covered strawberries, get them from the cafe area!! They I believe are 5 for $4(if my memory is correct) and they are DELICIOUS and look a WHOLE LOT BETTER!! I usually get two orders so I can share 1 with my DH(1 strawberry, not plate);)

I would, thought it would be a nice touch.....nobody would touch them. If you must buy them at the coffee shop. looked so much better. Plus they drop it off at random times. So gives them more time to get soggy....ugh.

They do have great berries!! Chocolate on them and everything...LOL :D

Haven't cruised with CCL since Dec, 2010. Find it amazing that our TA has asked that we give him a full report after our upcoming December cruise with CCL due to the increasing complaints he's receiving regarding CCL guest services, food, treatment of passengers. Going with an open mind though since we're pretty easy to please. :)

Probably just another CCL cut back!

Going with an open mind though since we're pretty easy to please. :)

Please don't get me wrong...we enjoy cruising with Carnival! Yes we may have had an issue here or there, but nothing that wasn't taken care of while we were on the ship. Yes we have noticed that things have changed over the years, but nothing that would make us say.."ok we're done with Carnival!" As you can see we will be back on the Dream in about 2 weeks and then the Splendor in January...and we can't wait!! :D

I was TOTALLY disappointed at the look of my daughters gift...I would have rather them not of given her anything!!! It really looked like a 5 yo made the plate :eek:

We are Platinum on sailed on the Liberty on the 20th and we received the same plate as you did I believe on night 5 and they were placed on the floor just past the door so they were nearly trampled over. Yes, a very big soggy disappointment. If I paid $12.50, I would be extremely upset. If I sailed 10 cruises to earn them, oh wait...I did.
