Default Ice show

I am a bit confused. We are sailing on the Explorer in March and I have been reading that you have to book tickets to see the Ice show. When we were on the Navigator in the spring we did not have to book tickets and just showed up before the show and sat where we wanted, as did everyone else. If you need tickets where do you get them? I would hate to miss out on the ice show as it was so good on our last cruise.

We were on Explorer recently. We received our tickets at our Meet & Mingle for the 1st show, and an invitation because of our C&A status.
They will inform you via the Compass as to when you can get tickets. My undertstanding was that they had it set up outside Studio B and you just went and asked for however many tickets you needed. The time was also listed in the Compass.
You do not need to book ahead of time other than getting the tickets.
I hope this helps.

I know process changes constantly. but in the past we needed to get tickets for the Ice Show on Voyager and Oasis class ships.

I believe every ship with an Ice Show handles them differently. Oasis class you can book online before you board and/or make reservations at Studio B the day you board and/or interactive TV. We also booked online for the Liberty.

On the Navigator, I believe we just showed up prior to the show. Last week on the Independence, ours was distributed in the Diamond lounge, while non D members were told to get them at the Prominade in front of Sorrento's Pizza.

Doesn't seem to be any set way for the rest; it probably depends on the number of shows. On the Independence they ended up adding an ice show the last day.

If you will need tickets, they will tell you on the ship, when and where to pick them up....otherwise, just show up to the show you want to see. All of the shows are the same...they just show them many times so everyone can see them.

Yes, every ship does it different.

If you cannot get tickets...do not be upset...show up! Many people take handfuls of tickets and do not use them so seats are often available before the show starts.

We just got off Liberty. We prebooked reservations for ice show online and they scanned our sea pass prior to entering Studio B.

I was on the 12/13 Explorer sailing. The tickets for "Blades" were distibuted on day 2 in the deck 4 dining room. The listed start time for distribution was 10 am but people were lined up earlier (myself included) and doors opened about 9 45. All this was listed in the day 1 cruise compass.

The tickets for "Spirits" were distributed on day 4. Same arrangement as listed above and again listed in the compass as well as with announcements.

Both shows are performed 3 times over 2 days. You select which day and time when the tickets are distributed.
