Default Liberty / MTD / Embarkation / Show

First time on RCI. Traveling with elderly parents who just LOVE those evening production shows. Since we have My Time Dining, I am thinking of making a reservation for dinner on the embarkation night. What time(s) are the shows on the first night, so I can back into a reservation time. thanks (Will be party of 5)

I believe there's only one show the first night, and it's not a production show. Liberty has advance reservations for shows on Royal's website. You might want to take a look at the times and make reservations. If you haven't been on Royal's website before, just go to their home page and click Pre-cruise Planner near the bottom of the page. Enter your cruise info and you should see your reservation info. From there you can book shows, excursions, etc.

Here's a list of current showtimes:

Most of the shows are scheduled around the 2 traditional seating times....if you choose one or the other of those times, you will have no guesswork at all!

The welcome aboard show (there is ONLY one show the first night) is typically at 7:45. Usually is a comedian. If you eat early, just tell the waiters you want to finish in plenty of times to get to the show.

The shows listed on your link are only the shows that can be reserved. We just got off the Freedom (same class as Liberty). There were shows in the theatre every night except one (night 6 I think). The first night has only one show at 7:00pm. We took the earliest MTD and skipped the after dinner coffee to get to the show just in time. Most people were still at dinner though and there was no problem getting a good seat.

BTW, we had pre-reserved all the shows that could be reserved. The only show that they actually checked was the ice show. They scanned our SeaPass to confirm reservation. All the shows in the theatre turned out to be first come, best seats. We got there about a half hour before show time and found the theatre starting to get pretty full at about 15 minutes before showtime. We just bring along our Kindles when we arrive early and read until showtime.

I can't find the link right now, but do a search for "liberty compass" in the search tool. Someone was kind enough to post the "Compass", which is the list of everything that's happening each day, and it shows everything and what time they're at.
