Bring Back the Horse Racing Game!!!

I miss the cheesy horse racing game. Bingo gets boring, don't need to play it over and over. Mix it up a little bit with some old school pari-mutuel betting action!!!

Never saw that on Carnival yet, and started cruising with them in 1988. In fact, have never seen it on any ship/line I have been on.

I've seen it on carnival back when I first started cruising. I think around 1996. But I have not seen it in a long time. It has not been missed by me.

I remember seeing it on Tropicale.

Had it about 10-5 years ago and after awhile find it boring.

Wish they would come up with new activities though.

I like horse racing much better that the hairy chest contest. Well, uh, I guess I like most things more that the hairy chest contest. How about the pillow fight on the beam?

That horse racing was big on NCL. But that was along time ago. Probably 20 yrs.

I miss it as well. I only saw it on Royal Caribbean. They don't do it anymore either.

Yes, it was fun seeing how everyone dressed their horses up.

Aw, I used to love the horseraces at the Catskill resorts.

Oh my goodness I almost forgot about those! I enjoyed them on Costa, always had fun rooting for the horses on a sea day :)

My brother and I loved this in the 80's - we would stand buy the ticket booth and count how many bets placed on each number and bet the "long shot" knowing the odds were the same for each horse. Don't know that we ever won, but we had fun - of course that was before cruise lines had kids programs.

I remember seeing it on the Splendour. Maybe the fire wiped out the stables:rolleyes:

We did it on the Spirit on the Christmas cruise 2010.

It was para-mutual $2 betting. We had fun with the races on the Jubilee in February 1991. It was done poolside after the Hairy Chest contest and the cruise assistants moved the horses down the track as the CD called the horses numbers and number of places to move them by tossing dice in a cage.

Our CC group did one last year on NCL on a repo cruise. It was a blast. The CD got involved because he wanted to see how well it would go over. We had a CC group of 200 people, many participated in the horse race!

Some of the costumes were great! A lot of things I wish they would bring back!

It was fun but last time we seen it...several years ago..it was ridiculous. I believe the horses went for over $900. Back in the day they were a lot cheaper. But still made our bets and lost:(:p
