First visit to Astoria, need activity advice

In September, members of my family will be visiting Astoria for the first time via a cruise. They are counting on me to plan out their day for them (I haven't been to Astoria either so this might be a challenge!) Would really appreciate any and all suggestions.

No tours but the Oregon Film Museum is located in Astoria. The museum building was the old county jail. They would have info on the film and can direct you to the filming locations in the area.
