A double post is much more likely to be the OP accidently submitting the post twice. Sometimes there's a lag and you don't think your original post took so you hit submit again.

OP, I haven't noticed any more than the usual amount of spam. Gmail has a decent spam filter, as does AOL.

However, a few weeks ago Chris got a ton of spam for a day or two, as it seemed that her AOL spam filter hiccuped. Back to baseline spam now.
