Solstice passengers - dock questions

First cruise to Alaska after many Caribbean and Europe treks. In checking wonderful CC port pix and trip reports, I am noting that Solstice always seems to be the last boat in with lengthy dock walking required. Is transpo for travelers needing some assistance readily available like it always is for Caribbean ports? DH cannot walk far without resting and some assistance will clearly be necessary with long docks. He has no trouble with town walking and shipboard but from ship to town will be an issue. Thank you.

Dock dolly will pick you up at the plank and take you to the shore.

Smart bus is less than half block from there.

All tours pick up at the end of the dock, as well.

This is Skagway, I don't know about the other ports?

Good travels to you all!

Ketchikan - from the dock to the street level there is a long up hill ramp, once at the top the main shopping area is around 3-4 blocks

Juneau - once off of the ship there is a shuttle bus that is either $5 or $10 RT, drops you off about 3 blocks for the shopping area

Skagway - has carts that can take you to the end of the dock
