Passengers Removed

Anyone have details about the two passengers who were removed from Brittania on its return to Southampton?

From what my wife has read on FB a man and woman have been removed in the Azures for there behavior, captain Brown made comment in his welcome back on board talk and said he hoped that they wouldn't be allowed on any P&O ship again.

About time somebody stood up to this type of bad behavior:)

I'm interested to know what they did that warranted being offloaded. On Ventura recently, a man who was very drunk became abusive to one of the singers, who curtailed her performance and left in tears. Security arrived and suggested he had drunk too much and should return to his cabin. We didn't stay to see how it ended but were rather surprised to still see him on board after the next stop. So they don't do it lightly!

There are rumours on another cruise forum of why they were removed but only that rumours. End of the day whatever the reason P&O are in their rights and don't do things like that lightly so obviously whatever it was they deserved it. It has nothing to do with anyone else the reason for the persons removal.

Some one posted a video on FB of the Captain. His address seems to have been relayed into cabins. He apologised to everybody who had been affected and he said a couple had been off-loaded because they had been abusing crew and passengers since St Maarten. Rumours abound - they punched the DJ, were seen drunk all round the ship from early morning, he was a millionaire and she was his (quote) "bit on the side, racist abuse of crew. Whatever the reason well done P&O and well done Captain Paul Brown.

We saw some of their behaviour in the Live lounge...I saw the 'lady' standing behind another passenger who was sat down, she was punching the lady in the face a pulling hair etc...The 'lady' was outside later in the smoking area bragging that she had hit her because she had looked at her, and hoped she a had a ******* good black eye the day after. Good on Captain Brown and his Officers for throwing these scumbags off!

On Ventura at xmas a man was racially insulting to one or two of the casino dealers. I understand he 'voluntarily' left the ship.

Wow, I was on the Ventura at Christmas and I didn't know this. I do know that unfortunately a lady died on the airbridge at disembarkation. I'd already left by then.

Apparently casino staff and some passengers made statements so he was not going to get away with it. Maybe he left voluntarily to avoid a lifetime ban or prosecution?

Sad to hear about the lady on the airbridge. she had just collapsed and staff were attending her as I walked past.

I was on Britannia when the couple were taken off the ship. I didn t personally witness any bad behaviour but think it was good that the Captain made an announcement in the cabins so that everyone who cruises(and there were over 1000 new cruisers) know that certain behaviour is not acceptable

Well done by Capt Brown, but the two miscreants should have faced assault charges, that is, if the victims gave a statement and were prepared to attend court and give evidence, if required. Probably did not want to take it further.

An inevitable consequence of the P&O fleet expansion.

Hardly as the other rumour was that these two were well off and regular cruisers.

Good on the Captain, the woman ( won't call her a lady) should have been charged with assault. It's worrying to know people like these are walking amongst us every day.

Two youngish women were removed from Aurora in November when we were onboard.

Do these people have to pay their own way home? I do hope so and also hope they aren't compensated in any way for loss of any days. I can just imagine the headline in some papers "couple kicked of cruise ship" if so hopefully all those on board will speak up.
