For those of you who aren't getting Azamara e-mails...

OK, I've had a chance to read through this offer on the Azamara website. A couple of points come to mind.

 

Firstly it's vital that the LCV/Future Cruise Sales people are made aware in advance of these offers. If they aren't it puts them in a very awkward position. Azamara, you need to be aware of this and sort it out.

 

Interestingly I booked the 4th October Journey cruise as a single when I was on the ship last month taking advantage of the inside to balcony offer. Not including the £200 onboard booking discount I got the comparative price is now £600 more than I paid, but with a $1000 OBC included. I'd rather spend less on the cruise and forego the OBC as it is hard for me to spend $1000. I'm wary of OBC offers.

 

None of this instills any more trust in the Azamara pricing an marketing. I still can't get accurate pricing as a single on the website. I now have a seemingly good ta to help me out and I hope that works through ok.

And I have forwarded this thread to the Marketing Department to let them know again that emails aren't reaching many of you.

However, thanks to Dierdre's excellent marketing skills in bringing to our attention the recent promotion offer, we have, together with our friends, taken four cabins on the 7 night Riviera, Corsica and Provence cruise.

 

I hope that your Marketing Department realise that failure on their part to communicate with their loyal supporters is possibly loosing them future business.

Ooooh lucky you! We traveled with good friends on the Journey last month and it was like icing on the cake to have them along. It made a good cruise even better. I'm glad I played a little part in getting you back on Azamara. Enjoy!

yes, the Marketing Department is aware of the problem. The Company has specialists working on this glitch.

 

I too thank Deirdre for posting about this one-week sale. The guidelines of CC ask that advertising not take place on this forum, and I am careful to not step over that line.

That said, I'm thrilled you learned about the sale through the CC forum and have booked with us in 2014 :)

They might say it's a "glitch", but it has been going on since 2011. I have never received emails in spite of registering many times and even had one email asking me for details of the problem but, when I replied - no response.

It is appalling service - just as well the cruises as fantastic but, it does put you off even looking at the next one.

You could not make it up if you tried!!!

Azamara produce a promotion and advise all (some as I have not had email yet) customers.

On board guests get email BUT Azamara shore-side do not even bother to let ships know.

I am sure you are beginning to regret having to be the apologist for shore-side.

 

 

Back to the fire fighting I am afraid.

Does this promotion allow both shareholder credit and Open certificate /OBC to be used on it.

With all due respect, Bonnie, this sale offer is not combinable with the RCL shareholder benefit. I will quote from an inquiry I made to Investor Relations.

 

The RCL Shareholder Benefit is not combinable with offers that already include onboard credits, “dollars off” promotions, loyalty offers (Diamond/Platinum) or Future Cruise Certificates/Passages purchased onboard after January 1, 2009.

 

In the event that non-combinable offers, promotions or benefits are available on any one reservation, you may choose the offer, promotion or benefit which is most advantageous for you. All requests should be received in our offices approximately 2 – 3 weeks prior to sailing date.Shareholder onboard credit is valid for any cruise vacation on Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, or Azamara Club Cruises (excludes any sailings on the Celebrity Xpedition™ Galapagos).

Hmmm, I hate when this happens. I'll have to send this back up the chain of command for them to re-advise.

Just this morning I received the thumbs up from the Manager of the Call Center (Miami) saying that, yes they are combinable. Let me get back to you...hold the line :)

Sorry but if this is correct then perhaps you could explain how we were granted Shareholder OBC on our recent Quest TA when we took advantage of the free flights and double upgrade promotion?

 

However back on original topic I've still not yet received anything from Azamara, be it email, brochure etc., etc. :(

We will allow one (1) OBC with one (1) brand offer (e.g., brand offers include OnShore On Us, Choices Promotion, 2nd Guest Fly Free), and the OBC can be the Shareholder OBC.

In our case, it was Veranda for the price of an inside cabin, plus $1000 Choice Air credit. I will apply for my $100 shareholder benefit and report back if it has been applied or not. After too many false starts, I've given up trying to get AZ e-mails. So imagine my surprise when I received a phone call earlier this week from an AZ sales consultant advising me of the current promo! She outlined all the available offers and asked if we wanted to use our Open Passage on any of them. Nothing interesting for us right now but I appreciated the call.
