Can I assume we can buy those large covered beverage cups at a shop on board the Dream? It would be so easy to just refill those and add ice instead of getting smaller cups of drinks at the fountains.

yep. They had the holiday ones when we were on the Magic. I Kept meaning to get one....but I also knew dd would just try to steal it from me...(she has an obsession with 'sippy' cups).
if you get it from the 'bar', then you get a free drink as well or something (like a smoothie or whatever). Or you can bring your own cup and fill it. though, they ask you use a new cup each time, I'd use a paper cup to fill your bigger cup, to prevent the spread of germs...
