Default Time to get back to ship

I am planning our excursions next week for the Fantasy in February. I was just wondering how much time we will need to get back to the ship.

Are you using DCL excursions? Then you don't really need to worry about it. If you're using private excursions, it would depend on how far away you are, what the transporation is that you're using, and the traffic.

Generally, we like to be aboard about an hour prior to the all aboard. The all aboard time can vary. It will be announced in your daily Naviagor (as well as at the shows the night before) what time the all aboard is.

A fun thing to do is be on the rail at all aboard time and watch the runners.

This is our first cruise so we will be doing DCL excursions. I just noticed for example our itinerary says we will be in Grand Cayman from guest ashore 11:30 guest aboard 4:45. 5 hours and 15 minutes. Does this mean I can book an excursion thats listed for 5 hours duration or should I be looking for something shorter. First time cruising so I thank you ahead of time for your advice.

If you're booking DCL excursions, you don't need to worry about how long the excursion is. DCL will not be offering any excursions that won't fit into their schedule.

If, for some reason, a DCL excursion runs late, DCL will either hold the ship (at least as long as they can) or get you to the next port (on their dime) to connect with the ship.
