Cruisedreamer1 Posted December 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 25, 2012 Does this port have the same set up with vendors as does Santo Tomas on the Caribbean side? Thanks.
Northern Aurora Posted December 27, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2012 We were at Puerto Quetzal last April, and there was a very nice small market at the dock with a number of vendors. This is an industrial port, so there really isn't a town to walk to for shopping.
Rare Azulann Posted January 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2013 The enclosed port area is very nice. Lots of market stalls, a couple of cafes, free wif if everywhere. But I would do a tour and see some of the country. We did a DYI ship sponsored bus trip to Antiqua. It was fascinating day. did a a walking tour with a local guide. A friend of mine did the volcano walk up the side of the volcano. She said it was excellent with a good trail and knowledgable guide.
