Cheap Parking in Vancouver

Recommended Posts

We'll be embarking at Ballantyne Pier. We're looking for cheap parking in the area. We'd love to find an inexpensive hotel in the area that will also keep our car for the week for free. Anybody have any experience with this?

Just a word of caution

Balantyne Pier is what is considered the other side of the track.....not a very desirable place. One would not spend much time there unless they had to & Never at dark.
The hotels are not even rated for this area. Yes, they may be cheap but that is the only good thing about them. As to leaving a car while on cruise. You may only have a shell when you return.
Last June, we did a cruise from Canada Place - There was a v. good 9GATED)lot to leave the car closeby. they shuttled us from the lot to the ship, On return they dropped the car off to us at Canada Place. This did have to be reserved beforehand. The price was approx. $68 US.
WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEnD IT. Also, there are many hotels in this area. prices can be steep on some, but we were able to get one fairly reasonable - Many people bid for hotels on priceline and do well. Hope this helps.

We used Cruise Park which is the one referred to, they shuttled us to Ballantyne pier and had the cars waiting for us on the dock when the cruise was over. They either have the cars there or shuttle you back to the parking. We were lucky because the day we got back no othe ships were due in or out for a few hours , so they were able to bring the cars to us. It was well worth the money!

If you stay at the Georgian Court Hotel (across from B.C.place Stadium) they have very nice rooms and service and safe under ground parking for 6$Cdn a day. There is a security coded gate and cameras throughout.

We used Cruise Park and it was great. We pulled in, they took are car, loaded the luggage set us at the pier and handled are luggage and as abridalmaven says, our car was waiting for us on the pier when we disembarked. Their website is - http://www.cruisepark.com/. I can't think of a better way to go. Just having the car at the pier when the cruise was over vs. shuttling to their lot was exceptional. Price quote from the website is in Canadian dollars, you can look up the exchanged value at http://www.oanda.com/convert/classic.
